Listen to one of the wildest origin stories yet! We’re talking polyamory, secrets, and suffrage.

Wonder Woman isn’t just a superhero—she’s a revolutionary symbol built on the foundations of women’s suffrage, feminism, and even polyamory. 🤯 But did you know her creator, Dr. William Moulton Marston, led a double life that directly influenced the character? In this episode of Comics & Brews, TazAlGhul & Just Abby shed light on the wild history behind Diana Prince. They uncover the scandalous past of one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. The inspiration wasn’t from his actual wife … but his secret one that nobody knew about until his passing.

In this episode we go over:

How Wonder Woman was inspired by the women’s suffrage movement

⚡ The shocking secret life of her creator, including his polyamorous relationship and the woman who truly shaped Wonder Woman

⚡ The hidden feminist symbolism behind her Lasso of Truth, indestructible bracelets, and constant themes of bondage (yes, really)

⚡ The controversy that surrounded Wonder Woman’s early comics and how they were accused of promoting “unruly” feminism

⚡ PLUS: Our thoughts on Tom King’s Wonder Woman: Outlaw & Sacrifice—is this the bold new era Diana deserves?

Wonder Woman wasn’t just designed to fight supervillains—she was built to challenge the status quo. She fights for truth, justice, and equality. She also stands as an enduring symbol of female empowerment. Her history is as fascinating as her adventures! 🍻 Grab a drink, hit play, and let’s talk comics! Imprint Beer Co.: Strawberry Colada Schmoojee – Smoothie / Pastry Sour – One of our favorite Coladas returns, with a blend of strawberries sourced from 3 different parts of the world. Along with strawberries, this Colada has luscious coconut and smooth pineapple. This thing was the thickness and so dang good. Not super sweet but probably wouldn’t want to crush two of these in one sitting.

(I Rated it a 4.00) It’s Untappd overall rating is (4.39)

Lyric Brewing Company: Stuck Off the Realness – Double New England Hazy IPA – Hazy DIPA recklessly hopped with Mosaic, Riwaka, and Strata. Almost any hazy from Lyric brewing is going to be over a 4.0 for me. Ranging from super dank with the stank to this silky smooth banger. If you haven’t sipped the gold from here yet it’s a 100% must. Lyric & Hop Butcher are for sure the top of my list when it comes to Hazys. Hence, I gave it the banging rating you see below.
